Finished views of table

The table was assembled and then scraped and sanded to 220 grit.

Finish includes 1 coat of hot Tried and True Varnish oil (boiled linseed oil) and then french polishing with dewaxed pale blonde shellac. The shellac was applied over 2 days starting immediately after the application of the oil. There were 2 intermediate sandings to 320 grit to maintain level finish and remove defects.Final sanding was 600 to 2000 grit and rub out and wax for high gloss finish.

The highlight coloration changes seen on the top in the various photos show some of the liveliness seen with the oil+shellac finish. This is much brighter than if a stain had been used.
